NEET UG 2024: Grace Marks Cancelled- Re-Exam for 1,563 Students

Today, on 13th June 2024, the National Testing Agency issued a public notice regarding the re-conduct of NEET UG 2024 for students who encountered time loss during the original examination. The NEET UG 2024 took place on 5th May 2024 across India and abroad, with results declared on 4th June 2024. The issue of granting grace marks to affected students sparked a debate and led to the formation of a high-powered committee to address the concerns.

After thorough consideration, the committee submitted its report, which has been accepted by the NTA. According to the committee's recommendations, NTA has decided to re-conduct the NEET (UG) – 2024 on 23 June 2024 for 1563 candidates who experienced time loss during the original examination on 05 May 2024 and were awarded compensatory marks.

Key Points to Remember

  • The scorecards of all 1,563 affected candidates issued on June 4, 2024, will be canceled and withdrawn. The affected candidates will be informed of their actual scores (without compensation) through their registered email IDs.
  • Re-examination will be conducted for affected students (1563 students).
  • Those students who do not wish to appear for the re-examination will be declared based on their actual marks.
  • The results of the affected students with grace marks stand void, and for the students who wish to appear for the re-examination, their new scores will be considered and the latter stands discarded.
