The National Testing Agency (NTA), in its latest press release, has announced the implementation of the Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry (APAAR) and Aadhar-based authentication for the NEET-UG 2025 application and examination process. The decision came after the instructions of the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education.
The integration of APAAR-ID and Aadhaar-based authentication is highly recommended to the candidates for ease of verification and registration process, and to enhance the integrity of the examination process. Hence, the candidates are required to update their credentials in Aadhaar, as per the Class 10th Mark sheet or passing certificate. Moreover, candidates must ensure that their Aadhar must be linked with a valid mobile number for OTP-based verification.
The decision to implement APAAR-ID and Aadhar Authentication is essential to improve the transparency, efficiency, and effectiveness of the registration process, minimizing the chances of manual errors. Furthermore, by linking Aadhaar, the concerned authorities can easily verify candidates' identities with much more efficiency and accuracy, ensuring a seamless examination process.
Moreover, Aadhar-linked authentication enables quick and precise attendance verification on exam day. Features such as facial recognition provide secure and unique identification of candidates during the entire examination process.
