About University

Yerevan Haybusak University is one of the best and most prominent universities offering MBBS in Armenia. Academician Levon Harutyunyan founded this university in the year 1991 and introduced three faculties primarily including medicine, economics and food technology. Various renowned and eminent academicians belong to the alumni panel of the university. These academicians have played a prominent role in the development and enrichment of their Alma Mater.

In the year 2001, the university received the state accreditation and at present have more than 5400 students and more than 300 faculties which include 48 Professors, 64 Ph.D., and 12 Academicians. The degree awarded by Yerevan Haybusak University is accredited by various medical council bodies including MCI and is recognized globally.

In the year 2007, Yerevan Haybusak University along with the Armenian Open University and the International Relations Institute established the International Academy of Education (IAE).

Accommodation

The university offers hostel accommodation along with the option of private rental apartments to all its international students. Hostel rooms are very comfortable and equipped with all the necessary amenities including the bed, TV, AC, wardrobes, etc. The room of the hostel has a picturesque view of Valley Ararat.

Apart from other cuisines the student canteen also serves Indian food.

All the hostels are at walking distance from the University of 10-15 minutes. Grocery stores, coffee shops, public internet spots, restaurants, and transport facilities are all at walking distance from the hostel.  

Student Life

The university makes the life of all students an enjoyable and colourful experience. The students get the chance to meet and interact with students who are coming from different parts of the world and get to know about their cultures and traditions.

• The city of Yerevan is one of the largest and the capital city of Armenia and is established along the river Hrazdan. It is considered as one of the worlds oldest continuously inhabited cities.  
• Since 1918, the city has been serving as the capital of the country.
• The city has a diverse economy of various industries including chemicals, primary steel and metal products, machinery, plastics, rubber products, carpets and rugs textiles, footwear and clothing, wood products and furniture, mineral water, dairy products, and processed food, alcoholic beverages, stone processing, and building materials, etc.
• The city has a cold semi-arid climate with short, cold and snowy winters; and long, hot and dry summers.
• The city has a well-connected transportation system. The best way to go through the city is by using buses, trams, trolley buses.
• The city is often known as the Pink City because the colour of the stones which were used to build the maximum area of the city centre was pink.
• The city offers various tourist attractions including Republic Square, The Matenadaran library, museums, and parks.
